As we continue to pursue opportunities to broaden participation in computing and achieve diversity of all types - gender, race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, disciplinary background, etc. - there is growing interest in providing programs at the post-graduate level that transition bachelor’s degree holders into a variety of computing subdisciplines (https://cra.org/crn/2021/02/minding-the-gaps-in-the-cs-pipeline-the-mscs-degree/ , https://dl.acm.org/doi/pdf/10.1145/3328778.3366802 ). The MS Pathways to Computing Consortium (https://ms-cs.org) brings together institutions committed to providing bridge programming into their Master’s programs in computer science, data science, and other computing-related fields. The Consortium currently has thirty-four member schools. This affiliated event provides an opportunity for consortium members to convene in-person for the first time since its inception in 2019 and welcomes others interested in exploring such a pathway program to attend. The agenda will include an invited presentation by Valerie Barr along with panels and breakout sessions that advance the work of the consortium and build valuable relationships between attendees. There is no registration fee for this event.
