Modern applications handle enormous amounts of data, require continuous uptime, and have agile development cycles. In recent years, new databases have emerged to address these requirements. However, data modelization has also evolved to meet modern demands.
This session will describe schema design patterns identified over many years of observing our MongoDB users develop data models for modern applications. These patterns focus on performance and the data life cycle. They also challenge what we thought about normalization, data duplication, and data staleness. Finally, we will share curriculum resources from MongoDB for Academia. Bring your questions!
